With the release of Windows Vista came a whole array of visual eye candy for Microsoft’s behemoth of an operating system. While most of it is beautiful (especially Windows Aero) some of it can be a little over the top. The newly introduced shortcut arrow is a prime example of the folks at Microsoft going a little too far. Now some of you might not mind the way they look and thats alright, but personally I hate the things. They take up a good quarter of your shortcuts icon and it draws attention away from the artwork. Fortunately there is hope in the form of a guide at How-To Geek’s website. Go ahead and take a look!
